Volume:Ages 18-659 patients per day
EPIC EMR
Schedule:Monday-Friday--8a-4p but be avail by phone until 6p.--No weekendsNo call.--
Description:From May 22 through June 30, the person would do half inpatient (5 beds), some cross-coverage of other teams, and the occasional consult (1-2/week).--Starting July 1, we would need them to shift to cover more inpatient beds (8 or 9, depending on the month bc there---s a set rotation with the faculty) and the consult coverage would be reduced.--
oThe diagnostic range includes primary affective and psychotic disorders; most common dxs are schizophrenia and major depressive disorderoApproximately 65% of our inpatients have co-morbid substance use disorders (so having the ability to prescribe Suboxone upon discharge is a plus but not mandatory)oGoal average length of stay for the unit is 6 daysoPatient evaluation & documentation includes admission H&Ps, daily progress notes, discharge summaries. Other clinical expectations include family meetings, involuntary commitment hearings when applicable, clinical review panels when applicable.
