  • Labor and Delivery - 3x12 Nights
  • Call: 24 hours in 6 weeks
  • 100 to 120 deliveries a month
  • 14 beds family birth place, 9 in special care nursing
  • Level 2
  • Minimum of 2 years experience
  • Nurse Patient Ratio - 4:1 mom baby, 2:1 labor and delivery, 1:1 when active
  • Ancillary assistance: secretary, scrub tech
  • Midwives on unit
  • 5 days of new team member orientation, 4 in class, 1 on the floor
  • UM-UCH supplies sterile scrubs
  • Current computer system is meditech, going to EPIC next year
  • Mom centered care
    • Job Requirements
