Job Description:

As a Bakery Decorator, you will be responsible for creating and decorating cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items. You will use your artistic talents to build and finish all specialty bakery goods, ensuring every detail is just right.

Your role will play a critical part in upholding our quality standards by providing outstanding service and delicious treats to our customers.

Key responsibilities include assembling, filling, and decorating cakes, tarts, and pastries, as well as merchandising and showcasing products in the sales display case. You will also provide guidance and support to Bakery Decorator Apprentices and other team members.

To be successful in this role, you will need efficient cake and pastry decorating skills, including intermediate piping techniques and the ability to create decorative flowers and borders. You must also be able to follow recipes, directions, and procedures, and have effective time management and organization skills.

Additionally, you will need to be able to lift 50 pounds, stand or walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday, and work in wet and dry conditions. You may also be required to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
