Part Time Elder Care Activity Aide - 30 hours / week - Personal Care Department Activity Aide hours: Day Shift 9am to 3pm; includes some holidays. Activity Aide pay: $16.85-$18.20/ hr, + $1.25 / hr for weekends! Fairmount Homes is a five-star rated facility located on a beautiful 50+ acre campus in rural Ephrata, PA. Deliver life enrichment activities designed to bring love and happiness to elders living in retirement home. Must enjoy encouraging older adults, and engaging creative and personal choice of expression in music, art, games and group activities. Characteristics of the successful candidate are adaptability, creativity, self-awareness and collaboration with inter-departmental objectives.

• Must have sincere interest in working with older, disabled, and handicapped adults.
• Must have an understanding of the physical, mental and psycho-social needs of older and handicapped adults.
• Must be tactful, courteous, patient, pleasant, and cheerful when dealing with residents, family members, visitors, staff and volunteers.
• Experience working with older adults is preferred
• Valid PA Driver's License preferred.
• A High school diploma or GED is required.
