following role in Tysons Corner, VA (Washington, DC Metro area).Key
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
- Design and develop microservice based distributed systems with
high availability, throughput, fault tolerance, and performance.
Ensure solutions are testable, maintainable, and easy to
operate.
- Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback
to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, accuracy,
testability, and efficiency).
- Act as a strategic technical advisor continuously reevaluating
architectures to meet the evolving technology needs of Nodal's
growing business.
- Participate in after-hours support in our on-call rotation, and
lead incident reviews to identify high leverage preventative
measures. Drive engineering improvements in our ability to detect,
triage and resolve incidents more quickly.
- Willing to participate in on-call rotation in line with the
industry practices. Note that this position is an overtime-exempt
position.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseRequirements:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related
field.
- 6+ years of engineering experience building, deploying and
operating distributed, high-volume services.
- Strong programming skills in Java. Solid understanding of
Object Oriented Design, system design, data structures, and
algorithms.
- Past experience in handling on-call incidents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to
explain complex technical concepts to different audiences.
- Ability to translate business ideas into technical solutions
and drive large-scale efforts across multiple teams.Desired:
- Worked with Spring, Wildfly frameworks in Java.
- Experience with multiple Java versions like Java-8, 11, 17 &
21.
- Strong programming skills in Kotlin, React framework.
- Familiarity with RabbitMQ, Docker, Linux CLI skills.
- Start-up experience.Salary Range: $107,500 - $140,000 per year
base salary, when annualized.Pay Transparency Notice: The salary
range is based on the D.C. metro area, the successful candidate's
starting salary will vary depending on permissible,
