Description Leidos is looking for a senior software architecture lead to drive technical standards across the National Security Sector (NSS) software organization. The individual will be responsible for defining best practices for software development, establishing technological roadmaps, and ensuring consistency in delivering mission-critical software across NSS. This position requires a strong technical background in software development, secure software practices, architecture, DevOps, cloud technologies, and software validation within the national security domain. The ability to mentor and lead talent is essential, and experience in proposal activities for national security customers is a plus. Responsibilities:

• Define and evolve best practices for software development across the NSS
• Establish technological roadmaps to position Leidos as a premier provider of mission software
• Ensure consistency in software delivery across programs and internal development efforts
• Define core software key performance indicators for all development activities
• Provide proposal and capture support as required Basic Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. and 15 years of experience in a Science, Engineering, or Technology field - experience may substitute degree requirements
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance for a position of trust within the US government
  • Recent experience within the National Security domain
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to mentor, lead, and promote talent Location: Washington Metropolitan Area preferred but remote also considered
