Job Description:

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations - from foundational services such as Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS's services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
This role is specifically to support new region, AZ and Local Zone build activities, to include driving delivery of mandatory services in new regions.
You will assess risks, anticipate issues, overcome technical obstacles, make difficult trade-off decisions, and balance business needs and technical constraints.
You will successfully represent program status senior leadership. Your program management expertise and operational excellence will influence the team's decisions and drive secure and scalable solutions. You should be passionate about delivering great customer experiences and researching and developing new region build methodologies.

3+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 2+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
